Waste Collection and Transportation
Upon requests from customers, wastes can be collected from client’s designated location and delivered to CIC Waste Management Treatment Plant in Kuala Belait. Depending on types and volumes, wastes are generally stored in containments such as bottles, drums, pails and IBCs and transported using High Bed Hiab. Liquid or slurry wastes such as waste water, waste oil and sludge can be collected directly from clients’ storage via Vacuum Tanker. As a general practice, customers are required to issue documentations such as Consignment Note, Service Delivery Order and Material Safety Data Sheet before the wastes are accepted. Collected wastes will be segregated and transferred to the designated storage area at CIC facilities.
Lab Services

Laboratory testing is an essential element in CIC’s waste management system. Laboratory tests are used to assist in the detection, diagnosis, evaluation and monitoring of the waste samples. CIC’s lab services range from routine testing such as analysis on water pH, water temperature, contaminants level, oil and grease content, base sediment and water (BS&W) and flashpoint, to testing upon requests by the clients on BOD level, COD level, TLCP metals contents in cement block, etc. CIC shall provide in-house laboratory testing to analyze and/or prove the contaminants presence in the waste sample for onwards treatment and disposal management purposes.

Oil Recovery Plant
Waste oils collected from clients are normally in the form of used oil from workshops or vessels, cooking oil from restaurants and so on. At CIC Waste Management Treatment Plant, waste oils are treated at our Oil Recovery Plant where waste oils are separated to form light oils, heavy oils and wastewater. Light oil will be pumped out and reused to fuel the furnace in the system. Heavy oils produced will be dehydrated, analysed and commercialized back to the industry as Reprocessed Industrial Fuel (RIF).
Waste Water Treatment Plant
Industrial wastewater are often contaminated with hydrocarbons and hazardous substances. At CIC, wastewater are separated from the contaminants and the treated water must meet specified standards prior to discharge. Water treated from CIC’s WWTP can be disposed off with minimum impact on the environment.

DECORE Technology
  • CIC's proprietary waste water treatment system, designed to treat effluent water by means of electrolysis and mechanical processes. DECORE separates chemical and complex contaminants and generates industrial grade water.
Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) Technology
  • DAF is a clarification system which generates micro bubbles that adhere to incoming solids and float them to the water surface for removal. DAF removes oil and grease, suspended solids, hydrocarbon emulsions and many other contaminants from waste water.
Incineration Treatment
Incineration offers the most complete destruction for any waste type where the hazardous waste received are permanently converted to inert substance through thermal treatment.
Drums and IBCs Processing
Used drums or Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) collected from customers are washed using high pressure hot water with bio-friendly solvent. Once inspected, metal drums will be crushed and sent for recycling.
Tank Cleaning (Degassing)
Tank cleaning service has been introduced since 2012. CIC’s tank cleaning methodology includes minimum entry techniques using qualified personnel, intrigue safety equipment and automated tank cleaning equipment.
Oil Spill Remediation
In the event of onshore oil spillage incident, CIC is able to provide oil spill emergency support and minimize its impacts.
